Two- Day Demonstration at Habersham Mills, Demorest GA

Saddle up for an exploration of ceramic form, surface and narrative design with Montana potter Sue Tirrell. Sue will demonstrate her process of designing and fabricating handbuilt plates and wheel-thrown pottery forms that become vehicles for densely painted and carved narrative designs. Preliminary drawing and designing, and discussion of narrative content will set the stage for exploring surface design techniques including handmade stencils, painting, wax resist and sgraffito carving. Come with questions and stories; head back to your studio with new ways of communicating your vision.
